Press Review

Yes, it's fierce - that's because it sits on the western side of the Quarts de Chaume hill, whose pure schist gives tension and ferocity... there's no doubting the intensity.

- Rebecca Gibb MW, 2019 Vintage

Overview

Le Veau is the western and southwestern-facing lieu-dit of Quarts de Chaume, where thin, sandy topsoils cover an outcropping of schist bedrock. Domaine Belargus owns 1.68-hectares in this lieu-dit, and 2019 marks the first release of a dry wine from this parcel since 2018 was included in that vintage’s Ronceray cuvée.
