Press Review

Bonnes Blanches is a dry and vibrant Chenin Blanc ... There are delicate, tangy apple flavors, Sicilian lemons and white flowers marrying with subtle almond pastry-like characters...

- Rebecca Gibb MW, 2020 Vintage

Overview

Anjou insiders might recognize Bonnes Blanches as one of the famed crus of the Layon valley from the work of Jo Pithon, Domaine Oggereau, and Réné Mosse. This gently sloping lieu-dit faces north, and the soils are rich in schist. Domaine Belargus took over Jo Pithon’s 0.57-hectares in Bonnes Blanches, and they haven’t skipped a beat, retaining this site’s famed depth of flavors, vertical minerality, and precision.
