As specialists in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, we’ve been taken with the terroir maps we see when we visit our properties. While many are fond of memorizing the 13 permitted varieties of the zone, we’re enamored with the lieu-dits and terroirs. You will find that we mention these lieu-dits and terroirs when we discuss each of the cuvées we represent since it helps us to understand what makes each of them unique and different.
Didier Negron of Domaine Roger Sabon just sent us a digital version of the official terroir map of Châteauneuf-du-Pape so we thought we would share it.
