Overview

The Peronospora that devasted Tom’s Pinot Noir vineyards in 2021 did not spare his Chardonnay vines in Buel & Wanne. If anything, the Chardonnay suffered more, and Tom only managed to salvage a release of 703 bottles of Chardonnay blended from these two sites. Despite the challenges, Tom crafted his signature style of Aargau Chardonnay in 2021. Like its red counterpart, Weiss shows Tom’s status as one of the finest proponents of Chardonnay in Switzerland, where a lush core of fruit characteristic of Wanne melds effortlessly into the taught mineral core of Buel.
