Overview

An unflattering name in English but strangely apt for the disastrous 2021 vintage, Rot is a one-off where Tom salvaged what he could from his Pinot Noir parcels and, after a strict selection at the cellar, decided only to make a single red wine from the best fruit. Despite being contrary to Tom’s preference for single-site expression and the ability to have squeezed out some small-volume bottlings from his crus, 2021 is a far more complete wine than its parts and the rare chance to taste some of the best vineyards of Aargau Pinot Noir when blended together.
