Overview

The Stonessence Syrah is a pure varietal bottling from the In the Rocks vineyard. It is one of the densest expressions from the estate, featuring a deep core of black fruits, violets, black pepper, sunflower seed oil, and salt. This bottling is among the least touched by new oak, typically seeing about 10% new barriques and puncheons. The wine spends a minimum of 6 months in new barrels before being racked into second-fill barrels for an additional 6-12 months of aging before bottling.
