Press Review

There is remarkable finesse and balance here but also grip and tension. A great, tightly woven yet fine Chenin worth cellaring for a decade and longer.

- Wine Advocate, 2020 vintage

Overview

Clos de Beauce originates from a historic, south-facing vineyard in Cangey, planted with 50–70-year-old Chenin Blanc vines. The wine undergoes native yeast fermentation in neutral 225L barriques and 620L demi-muids, aged 12 months on lees without malolactic fermentation. It presents baked apple, pear, ripe citrus, toasted nuts, and honeysuckle aromas, with a palate driven by Chenin’s acidity and a moderately long finish.
