Overview

Rhu is a portal to the spiritual realm, which may sound like an odd name if it wasn’t because this part of the Elqui Valley is quite popular with new-age adherents not only for its quality stargazing but a belief that the valley is a magical liminal place. Looking at the photos, it is not hard to believe that Alcohuaz is indeed quite magical, even more so when you try the wines! Rhu is the flagship wine of the property. It features Syrah (well over 90%), with the remainder being selected from the other grape varieties planted on the property – usually Garnacha and Petite Syrah.
