Press Review

Given the quality, this is reasonably priced and shows the level of quality that Pinot Noirs from the Central Vineyards now achieve.

Overview

Having represented the Sancerre Rouges from Domaine Vacheron and Domaine Claude Riffault for over a decade, we’re rather picky when it comes to Pinot Noir grown on Kimmeridgian soils. Luckily for us, Bertrand Minchin makes a classic example of Pinot Noir in Menetou Salon sourced from scattered plots throughout the appellation. A long gentle maceration followed by aging in foudres and neutral French oak barrels ensures that it retains that beautiful tension between sweet and tart red fruit flavors followed by a long mineral finish.
