Overview

Villarín is a single, 1 ha, east-facing vineyard of Mencia 90+ year old vines planted on clay soils over a bedrock of schist and quartz. With the concentration and power that can only come from low-bearing, ancient vines, Mario Rovira ferments and ages this wine entirely in concrete tanks to preserve the uniqueness and expressiveness of this terroir.
