Overview

An indigenous variety in the Penedès that only a few years ago was facing extinction, Sumoll has seen a recent revival in the region. From a .5 hectare plot of 50 year old vines in Can Suriol, Carlos Esteva makes a superb example of this rare variety grown on chalky soils at 450 meters above sea level and only 12 km from the Mediterranean.
