Overview

The 2021 Reserve Syrah is a vineyard-driven expression sourced entirely from Reynvaan’s “Foothills in the Sun” vineyard, a high-elevation site in the Walla Walla Valley known for its deep silty loam soils and consistent afternoon sun exposure. This 100% Syrah was handpicked, hand sorted, and aged for 18 months in neutral French barrels before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result is a wine that balances brightness and depth with poise. Aromas of Bing cherry, dark Asian plum, dried lavender, and black olive rise from the glass, followed by a palate that carries vibrant red fruit tones layered over a savory, mineral-driven core. Ethereal in texture but substantial in flavor, the Reserve finishes clean and lifted, inviting another sip. This is a study in elegance and restraint, speaking clearly of its singular vineyard origin.
