Overview

Peña Caballera is a single, 1.5 hectare, north-facing vineyard of 50–70 year old Garnacha planted at an elevation of 850m. Part of the site is composed of sandy granite, which gradually gives way to schist. Expressing a more mountain-character than the other Garnachas from Bodega Marañones, Fernando considers this site to be his Grand Cru.
