Las Uvas de la Ira Albillo is sourced from a single parcel of 60 year old vines planted on sandy slate and quartz soils near the village of Cebreros in the Sierra de Gredos. This distinctive terroir and its elevation makes for an Abillo that is more mineral, vertical and precise than versions grown on granitic sands but one that bears the hallmarks of this variety in its orchard fruit flavors. Due to its elevation, and the early-budding tendencies of Albillo, this site is struck by frost in many vintages – hence all the skipped vintages.
