Overview

The ancient Roman Pliny singled out the area around Béziers as a place producing the finest white wines in France. Later this region would become part of the AOC of Clairette du Languedoc in 1948 – a rare example of a single-varietal, white wine AOC in the South of France. For a decade the sole white produced at la Peira was Deusyls,  but with growing confidence and additional vineyards coming of age La Peira released it’s first vintage of La Pèira Blanc in 2013. It is a blend of Roussanne and Viogner with Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Clairette.
