From the warmest sites on black schist soils in Maury Jean Marc Lafage sources the fruit for Kerbuccio, a wine named in honor of Quéribus, the ancient Cathar stronghold that overlooks the Agly valley. These extreme sites result in yields just under 20 hl/ha making for wines of tremendous richness and minerality. The blend is Grenache-based (60-80%) with the rest being made up of some combination of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan.
