Overview

The “flagship” wine on the estate is the Gran Caus Tinto, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in French oak; it combines the elegance of Bordeaux with the spice and herbal aromas of the Mediterranean. Like all of the wines at this address, it sees a significant amount of time aging in bottle before release – at least 4 years. Carlos Esteva also will release wines based on how they taste rather than sequentially – perhaps troubling for sticklers but appreciated by restauranteurs.
