Overview

At the heart of Rabós, nestled among the hills of the Albera Nature Reserve Area, are to outward appearances a scraggily group of gnarled vines, twisted by the Tramontana winds. These are the source for Coma Bruna, a wine made entirely from 110+ year-old vine Carinyena grown on slate. Harvested y hand and fermented in tank with indigenous yeasts, Coma Bruna is aged in mostly neutral 500L French oak demi-muids. When asked about these vines and the resulting wine, Anna Espelt says that it puts her “in the mood for poetry.
