Clos Baltasar is made from a selection of old-vine Garnacha vineyards which are co-planted with small percentages of other indigenous varieties such as Miguel del Arco, Bobal and Moristel. In order to preserve the unique expression of these sites, Clos Baltasar is only partially destemmed and sees a long maceration in concrete resulting in a wine with plenty of Mediterranean Garnacha fruit flavors but enlivened with a fresh acidity, focused tannins, and savory herbal nuances.
