In July 2019 we visited Rafa and Nuria and tasted a special bottling of rosé and we were taken with its depth of juicy fruit flavors, delicacy, and minerality. Named for a small blue butterfly that returned to their vineyard after converting to organic farming, Celastrina is a blend of Garnatxa Negra and Peluda with 15% Carinyena and 10% Syrah. The delicate, pale color comes from direct pressing rather than saigné.
