Overview

The Monastrell Rosado comes from high elevation vineyards located in the northern part of the DO on rocky, limestone-rich soils. This allows the Castano family to harvest ripe, concentrated fruit for their rosé that retains a lovely balanced acidity. Once a deeply colored rosé made from bleeding their tanks of Monastrell, this wine is now made with direct press fruit blended with a portion of wine after 4-5 hours of skin contact.
