Overview

A natural mutation of Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris is a relatively rare variety but one that turns up most frequently in the vineyards of the Languedoc and Roussillon. Thierry Rodriguez has some 50+ year old, head-pruned Grenache Gris planted on schist soils. Prone to fresh acidity in even the warmest sites, on schist, Grenache Gris is powerfully mineral and brightly flavored with notes of citrus peel and white pit fruits.
