In 1996, Artadi ventured in to the historic wine region of Navarra and launched Artazu in the northern most zone of the DO at an altitude on 400-600 meters. It is here that Juan Carlos Lopez de la Calle discovered mind-blowing old Grenache vineyards and allowed them to fully express their potential for depth and personality.
