Founded in 1989, European Cellars is an importer of hand-selected
wines from France, Spain, and Portugal. Our mission is simple: To
select wineries that represent the best of their regions and market
them with care and integrity to the U.S. marketplace. The company
is owned and managed by internationally-known importer Eric Solomon,
whose commitment to the wines he represents has been praised extensively
by Robert Parker, Steven Tanzer, and thousands of consumers who
enjoy these delicious products. To us, the role of an importer is
to represent and champion the work of the producer by achieving
the highest possible level of quality distribution, awareness, and
image in the U.S. market for the producer. We strive to recognize
and represent great and unique winemakers and their vineyards from
both classic/established regions as well as newly emerging areas.
European Cellars currently imports wines from over 90 quality winemakers
in France, Spain, and Portugal. Our portfolio includes the cream
of the crop of most major French and Spanish wine regions as well
as the new "stars" of emerging regions in France and Spain.
The range of wines we represent is generally regarded as being among
the strongest in terms of quality, breadth, and depth from Western
Europe. Many of our wines are custom cuvees created between Eric
Solomon and our talented winemakers. These custom cuvees are consistently
reviewed as being the best values in their particular categories
vintage after vintage.

European Cellars is a national importer, and as such, our
wines can be found from New York City to San Francisco and
from Seattle to Miami. Our distribution partners are chosen
for the overall quality of their portfolio and for their
commitment to quality-made products. The wines that we proudly
represent are delivered exclusively using refrigerated transportation
to ensure that the product arrives in the warehouse in the
same condition as when it left the cave. With warehouses
on both coasts with over 200,000 square feet of possible
floor space and maintained at a constant 58 degrees, European
Cellars is able to provide real national distribution for
our suppliers and convenience for our customers.

With offices in New York, Charlotte, Denver, Atlanta, and Napa
Valley, European Cellars is well positioned to ensure the continual
flow of product and to be in a position to aid in the sales efforts
of our distributor partners. Our sales staff is made up of highly
talented representatives whose depth of knowledge comes from years
of experience in distributorships, high-end wineries, and premium
importers. European Cellars takes a team approach to wine marketing.
This emphasis on team marketing creates an environment in which
the customer receives the highest level of service and the producer
receives the best distribution.

After 11 years in Manhattan, our base of operations is
now in Charlotte, North Carolina. The pool of talent and
experience in our main office represents a commitment to
our continued growth and success. Our staff is multi-lingual,
with Master's degrees in International Trade, and ready
to help with any issue that might arise in the wine sales,
transport, and other operational areas.
